On 15 and 16 October 2020 the NCRE’s Jean Monnet Chair Dr Milenko Petrovic and the members of his Chair team attended the International Virtual Conference: “The future of EU enlargement and partnership policies: EU actorness in South-Eastern Europe and the Eastern Neighbourhood”.

The Conference, which should originally have taken place on June 2-3 in Athens, was hosted by the Political Science Department at the University of the Peloponnese, Greece and co-organised by Dr Petrovic and his colleagues from the University of the Peloponnese and University of Gratz, Austria.

It was live streamed via YouTube and featured an exceptional keynote speaker and over 50 papers from scholars from several European countries, Australia and New Zealand.

Dr Petrovic and three other members of his Jean Monnet Chair team, including the NCRE’s PhD candidates Xiwen Wang, presented papers at the panel entitled The EU and the Western Balkans in the 2020s: More integration or divergent paths?
