Daniel Nielsen is joining Te Tari Mātai Pāpāho (Department of Media and Communication) as a fixed-term lecturer.
Daniel has professional experience in a range of media roles including journalism, advertising, public relations and strategy.
He holds a Master’s degree in media and communication, a post graduate diploma in journalism and a graduate diploma in tertiary teaching.
Prior to coming to UC, Daniel lectured at the New Zealand Broadcasting School for five years.
He has experience in advertising as a copywriter and strong connections to agencies.
His research interests include alternative media, news media business models and public interest journalism.
