Natalie Haynes discussed with Classics students Troy & Ancient Epic

At the end of term 1 Patrick O’Sullivan was joined by Natalie Haynes who spoke to students in CLAS 220: Troy & Ancient Epic – via zoom from the UK – for a discussion of women in Greek Epic.

Natalie is a renowned author, novelist, comedian, broadcaster, expert in Greek and Roman literature and culture and the star of the BBC podcast Natalie Haynes Stands Up for the Classics.

She has been a guest of honour at various literary festivals in the UK and internationally (incl. NZ), won numerous prizes for her work as author and comedian, and her most recent book is Pandora’s Jar: Women in the Greek Myths.
