The 2021 College of Arts Three Minute Thesis competition took place on Friday 30th July.
Like last year, entries were pre-recorded, and we hosted an event in person to view the videos followed by judging. The judges noted that all entries were of a high calibre, and this was a close competition.
Congratulations to our three winners:
- 1st place: Marcus Coll (PhD candidate in Political Science and International Relations) for “Punching above: A Narrative of Aotearoa/New Zealand Grassroots Civil Society Actors for Nuclear Disarmament”
- 2nd place: Sarah Jones (MA candidate in English) for “Transformative Storytelling: From Fables to Fan Fiction”
- 3rd place: Alexander Sutherland (PhD candidate in Art History) for “The Cross, Culture, and Perspective”
