Online Health Information Seeking and Its Implications for the Doctor- patient Relationship: A
Comparative Study between Chinese and Chinese Immigrants

As the information asymmetry between patients and physicians is temporally and geographically
universal, this cross-cultural study looks at differences in online health information seeking and
its implications for the doctor-patient relationship between two Chinese groups: the Chinese people
Mainland China and first- generation Chinese immigrants in New Zealand. The presentation will
present some findings of the research..
