Last Tuesday we welcomed film producer, film festival director and marketing strategist James Partridge to our Digital Screen Speaker Series. James was interviewed by our very own Stevee Taylor, while both sharing their love of film and experience of film distribution in New Zealand and around the world.
The students asked many questions, and were fascinated by how movies, television programmes and short films make it to the big screens of cinemas, Netflix, and streaming platforms at a global scale. James also shared examples of his work, what genre’s appeal to various audiences and countries and encouraged the students to get involved with their studies and networking opportunities here at UC.
A very special thank you to James for joining us and taking the time to connect with our students. His genuine enthusiasm for the screen sector captured everyone’s attention on the night, and we look forward to hearing more about his work in the near future!
