Spanish Dance Video Project 2021

The UC Spanish Programme, acknowledging the usefulness of dance as an effective second language learning tool, and in order to foster the collaboration and advocacy for the Spanish language in New Zealand while giving wide visibility to the University of Canterbury, coordinated for its sixth year in a row the Spanish Dance Video Project.

This year’s project, which involved Spanish language teachers and students of 19 schools from all over New Zealand, including the University of Canterbury, was very successful.

This year’s song, Resisti (I will endure), is all about resilience and hope. It became some sort of anthem in Spain and many other Spanish-speaking countries during the pandemic last year. The lyrics are uplifting and inspiring.

We have uploaded our dance video to YouTube.  You can also watch the official video that features over 50 Spanish singers and musicians (recording separately but together).

Enjoy! ?
