Renowned NZ-Greek composer, John Psathas presents a public talk on composition

John Psathas Composition Talk – Fri 13 May, 2:10pm at UC Arts at the Art Centre, Recital Room.

UC School of Music is very excited to have renowned NZ-Greek composer, John Psathas present a public talk on composition. This will include his experiences of collaboration with composers and of the business side of the composition field.

John has had his music heard in more than 50 countries on all 7 continents, including Antarctica. He was shot to worldwide attention following the 2004 Olympic Games where his music was played during the Opening Ceremony.

John is having his new work premiered, a double percussion concerto, by both Orchestra Wellington and the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra this year.
