UC School of Music had a great time hosting the First New Zealand Golden Ribbon Multicultural Youth Music Festival last month. This involved some of our music staff (Mark Menzies, Justin DeHart, Tim Emerson, Zara Ballara) and students (Hunter Craig, Liam Oliver, Freddie Gash) and members of our community facilitating workshops on Western, Chinese, Persian, Indian, Japanese and Māori musicians and instruments. The week finished with a Gala Concert at the Christchurch Town Hall.
