Digital Diplomacy of the EU: Media & Communication cooperates with the Delegation of the EU to New Zealand

On November 25, 2022, a PD-PCF Student Research Hub “Digital Diplomacy of the European Union to New Zealand: An Update Study” presented the key findings and recommendations to the EU diplomats – HE Nina Obermaier, Head of the Delegation of the EU to New Zealand, Kevin O’Connell, Counsellor (Political) / Deputy Head of Delegation, and Lucy Ross, Communications Lead of the EU Delegation. In 2022, Public Diplomacy and Political Communication Forum (PD-PCF) of the Department of Media and Communication secured support from the Delegation of the EU to New Zealand to conduct the follow-up analysis of the digital diplomacy outreach by the EU Delegation in New Zealand.  The team of six students – under-and post-graduates – examined social media and other online channels of diplomatic communication, compared them over times using the findings of the 2021 Research Hub with the EU Delegation and presented its recommendations.
