Ethical Space: The International Journal of Communication Ethics, co-edited by Donald Matheson (Media and Communication) launched an open-access digital edition in August. The journal, 20 years old this year, has not joined a large publisher for ethical reasons, instead using a small UK publisher, abramis academic. On the recommendation of Anton Angelo, UC’s research and data librarian, the journal has launched on the free and open-access platform, pubpub, which enables the journal to be listed on major indices. The first of these open access issues is on Indigenous Communication Landscapes, edited by Ocean Mercier (Ngāti Porou, Te Herenga Waka), Beth Ginondidoy Leonard (Deg Xit’an/Athabascan, Alaska Pacific University), and Debra Harry (Numu/Northern Paiute, University of Nevada).
