UC Media & Communication course COMS 420 “Public Diplomacy” (coordinated by Professor Natalia Chaban) ended with presentations of the public diplomacy campaigns designed by students to the EU Delegation diplomats. The EU diplomatic jury selected the winning team – Christine Reyes (MStratCom), Shenyl Grazel Gueco (MStratCom), Jiayi Chen (MStratCom) and Kendra Gardiner (MIRAD) – who designed a public diplomacy campaign “Cultivate” focusing on building the EU’s outreach to the young people in the New Zealand agricultural sector. The winning team got a prize from the EU Delegation – the tickets to the Canterbury A&P Show where the EU Delegation ran a stall. Public diplomacy campaigns and recommendations designed by students will inform the EU Delegation activities towards New Zealand.
