Deborah Wai Kapohe (Soprano) & Anria Breytenbach (Piano) present a programme of Classical & Contemporary Songs from South Africa, Spain, France & Aotearoa, including songs by Marais, Lilburn and Rodrigo (45 minutes in length). Please note some of the songs include material which may be offensive to some audience members.
Anria Breytenbach was born in Pretoria, South Africa, Anria moved to New Zealand in 2022. She has performed as soloist and accompanist in various concerts, theatre productions, art festivals an shows in New Zealand and South Africa.
Southland born, Deborah Wai Kapohe (Te Ātihaunui-a-Pāpārangi, Te Aitanga-a-Māhaki, Ngāti Rua (Te Whakatōhea) and Ngāti Kahungunu), has performed in operas, musical theatre, contemporary Māori music, arts festivals, proms, concerts, recitals, self-accompanied guitar and voice recitals, and special events throughout New Zealand and Australia, as well as in the UK, Asia Pacific Region, and South Africa.
