Friday 10 October the UC Spanish Programme held its traditional party “La Fiesta del Español” to celebrate its students and the end of the academic year. More than 40 students and friends attended, and it was a resound success with activities ranging from folkloric dance performances from Chile (Wladimir Padilla), Mexico (Victoria Escaip) and Argentina (professional dancers Gloria & Graham), a tango dance workshop for the students, fun games, and a fun piñata session. Everybody enjoyed delicious pizzas in a friendly and vibrant atmosphere filled with music and laughs. Students and staff thoroughly enjoyed the fiesta and not only was it fun but also an ideal engagement and retention event.
