Visit of the Ambassador of Spain to the University of Canterbury
The University of Canterbury had the pleasure of welcoming on October 22nd His Excellency Luis Sánchez-Vellisco, Ambassador of Spain to New Zealand, and Mr George Forbes, Honorary Consul of Spain in Christchurch, to campus for a meeting that highlighted the strong and ongoing collaboration between the Embassy of Spain and the University.
During his visit, the Ambassador met with leaders and academics from the Faculty of Arts to discuss current initiatives and explore new avenues for cooperation. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships and to identify potential projects that will further promote Spanish language and culture within the University and beyond.
This visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of the Embassy of Spain and the University of Canterbury to fostering educational, cultural, and academic exchanges that enrich both communities.
