The 2026 Next Art Tainan, taking place from March 12 to April 12, 2026, is dedicated to fostering intergenerational dialogue by pairing emerging Taiwanese artists with international practitioners. Inspired by the spirit of “Tò-hong,” an old name for a region in Tainan, the exhibition seeks to generate fresh and innovative perspectives while cultivating new forms of artistic “civilization” through close collaboration between artists and curators. The curatorial team brings together generations and backgrounds, led by Nobuo Takamori alongside Tainan-based emerging curators Shih Yu-Chieh and Chen Ying-Ting. Participating galleries include Asir Art Museum, Da Xin Art Museum, Mizuiro Workshop, Inart Space, Absolute Space for the Arts, Aglow Art Space, Der-Horng Art Gallery, Mezzo Art, Soka Art, and San Gallery. Overall, the event serves as an important platform for introducing emerging artists to the broader art market.
