The Timeless experience of Motherhood

In the UC Teece Museum’s latest Potted Histories post, assistant curator Emily Rosevear reflects on her experiences becoming a mother and compares the experiences of modern mothers to those of women in the ancient world. Emily explores what pregnancy and childbirth was like for women in the ancient world, the different goddesses they could look to for guidance, and looks at objects in the Logie Collection that relate to motherhood.
