On April 7-11, Professor Natalia Chaban of UC Media and Communication, together with Professor Šarūnas Liekis of the Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), presented their paper “Solidarity and the EU in the context of hybrid threats: Narrative intersections (the case of Germany’s first permanent foreign deployment to Lithuania)” at the European Consortium of Political Research (ECPR) Workshop in Innsbruck, Austria. Natalia and Šarūnas reported results of a pilot study focusing on the analysis of the Lithuanian media and policy discourses. While the pilot brought together the UC and the Vytautas Magnus, the wider project led by Professor Chaban involves scholars from New Zealand, Lithuania, Germany, Austria, and the UK. This new multinational research is initiated within the framework of the UC research centre “Public Diplomacy and Political Communication Forum”.
